“Parks Victoria has engaged a contractor to restore roads and drainage within the One Tree Hill, Mandurang, Whipstick and Kamarooka areas of Greater Bendigo National Park,” said David Major, Ranger in Charge, Northern Goldfields, Parks Victoria.
“Motorists and cyclists need to be aware of trucks and earthmoving machinery operating on nominated roads and tracks.
“Recent heavy rains have also impacted some recently graded roads making them unsuitable for vehicle access.”
As a result, rangers have closed Wildflower Drive within the One Tree Hill section of the park until driving conditions improve.
“It is particularly important that people take extra care, reduce their speed and respect any closures as some roads and tracks are very slippery and may become boggy after rain,” said Mr Major.
